A Research Review of Islamic Teachings on Environmental Pollution and Afforestation

Abstract

One of the most important problems and challenges of
human civilization is the issue of environmental pollution. There
are many causes in nature that cause damage to the environment .
Causes of environmental pollution include the rapid development
of human beings, the invention of modern technology, the growing
population, the invention of artificial resources in place of natural
landscapes, due to which the air and the earth are polluted, which
is a crisis of human life.
Environment includes water, land, air, soil, natural resources,
grasses, animals, humans and their interactions .Each of which
pollutes the environment in different ways. The rulers and experts
of different countries are engaged in efforts to combat this.

But fourteen hundred years ago today, our last prophet (PBU) and
religion of Islam, gave a comprehensive teaching that is universal
and liberating. One of them is the command to plant trees. Keeping
the environment clean is a very important process to which the
Prophet (PBU) has paid attention.There are many traditions on tree
planting. In modern times, the problem of environmental pollution
can be solved by following Islamic teachings and practices .This
article will try to look at environmental pollution and tree planting
in the light of Islamic teachings and sira-e-taiba.
